A question often posted is, with the availability of wireless network hardware at every commercial retail outlet, what makes the ESTeem radio unique?
ESTeem has over 35 years’ experience building radios to solve the most difficult wireless problems in the harshest of conditions, and we have refined all our wireless solutions to meet these demands. Most of our customers use our radios in industrial applications with high heat, vibration and difficult environmental conditions that would destroy a commercial wireless device.
Comparing the use of an ESTeem radio to an off-the-shelf wireless device in an industrial application is like comparing a tank to the family sedan; they may both get you from some point A to B, but only the tank will still be operating when it arrives after driving through a war-torn region.
We design ESTeem radios from the ground up with our customers’ needs in mind. They are environmentally rated NEMA4, have high temperature specifications and advanced programming features to work in almost any wireless application. Our wireless hardware is used over very long distances, so we have the highest available output power to multiple antenna choices.
The ESTeem uses a custom wireless mesh design called “IndustrialMESH” that allows strict control over the wireless network routing. An IndustrialMESH network will follow programmed priority routes that will self-heal but also return to the programmed route once the issue is resolved.
ESTeem radios also are available in multiple frequency bands from 150 MHz to 5.8 GHz to solve almost any wireless application in the most difficult of terrain. Every radio in the network can be a Master, Remote or Repeater or function as both remote and repeater simultaneously. All radios can also be configured as a Bridge, Router or Firewall by simple software programming.
Once you consider everything ESTeem wireless hardware provides, there really is no comparison at all.
